Jharkhand Board Gears Up for JAC 10th, 12th Exams 2026: Question Papers Ready, Model Tests, Remedial Classes in January

To give JAC class 10, 12 students a clear sense of what to expect, Jharkhand Board will conduct state-level model tests in January 2026.

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) is finalizing question papers for the Jharkhand Board Class 10 (Matric) and Class 12 (Intermediate) board examinations 2026, scheduled to begin in February 2026 and conclude in March 2026. As per reports, JAC has instructed schools to conduct JAC 10th, 12th model tests and remedial classes throughout January to boost student performance after disappointing pre-test results. The Council has not only completed the preparation of JAC Class 10 and 12 question papers 2026 but is also planning model tests and remedial classes to help students prepare better for the Jharkhand Board 10th, 12th exams 2025.

This year, JAC is part of a pilot project involving seven state boards that are working together to standardise the structure of board exam question papers. The idea behind this move is to create a common framework that introduces students to a format more aligned with competitive exams.

Teachers from  different districts of Jharkhand are working on this exercise, where they are drafting questions that go beyond rote learning and focus more on application and analysis.

According to officials, the JAC Board question papers for both Class 10 and 12 are ready well ahead of time. These will follow the existing structure—mixing subjective and objective questions along with practical components—but with a sharper focus on conceptual clarity. Students can expect a more thoughtful and balanced paper that tests their understanding rather than just memory.

To give students a clear sense of what to expect, JAC will conduct state-level model tests in January 2026. These mock exams are similar to the actual JAC class 10 and Class 12 board exam and will play an important role in identifying areas where students will need extra help.

JAC has instructed schools across state to hold remedial classes based on the results of these model exams for students appearing for board exams next year, in 2026. The schools will support weaker students in the run-up to the board exams. These question papers have been created as per the JCERT and NCERT syllabus to maintain uniform academic standards.

In 2026, the Jharkhand board exams for Class 10, 12 will begin around February 15 and end in March 2026. Class 10 students will write their board exam papers in the morning shift, while Class 12 students will appear in the afternoon shift.

As per the Jharkhand Board officials, JAC has also expanded the use of DigiLocker, making admit cards, marksheets, and certificates available digitally. Students can now access documents from as far back as 2007 online, a move that not only saves time but also enhances security and accessibility.

JAC 10th Model question papers 2026 and JAC 12th Model question papers 2026 have already been released in downloadable format, giving students a useful tool to fine-tune their preparation.
