While rumors of a potential leak had been circulating since February 26, 2025, when the exams began, it wasn't until Tuesday that the matter took a more serious turn. The claims were initially dismissed by officials, who explained that the leaked questions circulating on social media were actually model papers and not part of the actual exam.
However, a specific incident involving the Kalaburagi examination center has raised alarms, prompting the authorities to launch a formal investigation.
Karnataka Education Officials Investigate Kalaburagi Paper Leak
Trilok Chandra K V, the Commissioner for Public Instruction, confirmed that while the earlier rumors were unfounded, the Kalaburagi case required further scrutiny. He stated, “We have sought a detailed report from the Additional Commissioner of Public Instruction (ACPI) regarding this specific incident. Once we receive the report, appropriate action will be taken.”

KAMS Criticizes KSEAB for Security Lapses in Exam Process
In response to the alleged paper leak, the Associated Managements of Primary and Secondary Schools of Karnataka (KAMS) has expressed strong criticism towards the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB).

D Shashi Kumar, president of KAMS, slammed the board for its inability to ensure the security of the SSLC preparatory exams. “Every student is charged ₹50 for these exams, yet KSEAB has been unable to maintain the integrity of the process,” Kumar said. He further compared the situation to the practices of private schools, which he claimed conduct exams more effectively.
"If teachers, who are the backbone of the education system, remain silent and believe this issue does not concern them, who will take responsibility for fixing the system?” Kumar added, highlighting the systemic issues within the state education framework.
