The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE) has published a circular regarding the changes in the DHSE Kerala Plus Two SAY 2026 and Kerala Plus One SAY Exam 2026 for compartmental and old scheme students. The circular is available on the official website -dhsekerala.gov.in. Kerala Plus Two exam 2026 will be held from March 6 to 28, 2026.
Kerala Plus one, Plus Two SAY exam 2026: Changes
The DHSE circular says, "Compartmental and old scheme candidates shall be eligible to register for both the first year and second year papers of the subjects for which they failed to attain D+ or above grade. Registration for the first year papers and the second year papers shall be made along as one time registration. Registration and attending for both the first year and second year paper is mandatory. In the case of a compartmental candidate registering attending for the first and second year papers, the best score obtained by the candidate for those papers at the last appearance of first and second year examinations shall be carried forward."

The Kerala DHSE exams will be held for a duration of 2 to 2.5 hours. The Plus two exam of each subject has three parts. They are terminal examination (TE), continuous examination (CE) and practical examination (PE). A candidate will be required to secure a grade of D+ or above, with a minimum of 30% aggregate score in CE, PE, and TE, when taken together, and at least 30% in TE separately, to pass any subject.
No, examiners will not deduct marks for exceeding the word limit. Marks will be deducted for spelling mistakes in the Language Papers. Students are advised to be careful with the spellings, so that they won't loose any marks. They are also advised not to waste time by writing much more than the word limit.
