The name change of CM Rise schools, inspired by the Sandipani Ashram of Hindu mythology, was unveiled during the state-level ‘Pravashotsav Programme-2025’. This event marked the launch of admissions in government schools under the state's ongoing ‘School Chale Hum’ campaign.
In a significant move aimed at rebranding the state’s educational landscape, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that the CM Rise Schools will now be called ‘Sandipani Vidyalaya’. The name change, inspired by the Sandipani Ashram of Hindu mythology, was unveiled during the state-level ‘Pravashotsav Programme-2025’. This event marked the launch of admissions in government schools under the state's ongoing ‘School Chale Hum’ campaign.
‘Sandipani Vidyalaya’ – A Name Rooted in Tradition
While addressing the gathering, CM Mohan Yadav elaborated on the significance of the new name. He explained that the Sandipani Ashram holds a special place in Hindu tradition, as it was the place where Lord Krishna received his education. "Lord Krishna, who put an end to the misrule of Kansa, was educated at the Sandipani Ashram. Therefore, it is only fitting that these schools, which aim to offer quality education, be named after Acharya Sandipani," Yadav said.
He emphasized that this rebranding is a tribute to the importance of education in shaping future leaders, just as it did for Lord Krishna. The new name, Sandipani Vidyalaya, reflects the state's commitment to holistic and inclusive education for all.
CM Launches New Admissions Portal
In addition to the rebranding announcement, CM Yadav also launched a new admissions portal for the state’s education department. This portal is designed to streamline the process of admissions in government schools across Madhya Pradesh. The move is part of the larger efforts to ensure easy access and transparency in the admissions process.
The ‘School Chale Hum’ campaign has been an initiative by the state government to encourage students, especially from rural and underserved areas, to join government schools. The newly launched portal aims to make the admission process digitally accessible, simplifying the experience for parents and students alike.
Educational Vision and Commitment to Government Schools
During the program, CM Yadav also reflected on the importance of government schools in shaping the future of the state. He recalled that he himself studied in government schools and shared how several renowned personalities—including former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, ex-President Dr. Rajendra Prasad, and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri—had all received their education from government institutions.
“Great leaders and visionaries have emerged from the government school system. Dr. Kalam, also known as the Missile Man of India, was a product of this system,” CM Yadav said. He highlighted how these institutions foster talent and character and are vital to the nation’s educational framework.
Government Support for Students
CM Yadav emphasized the continued support of the state government in ensuring that students in Madhya Pradesh have the necessary tools for their success. The government has been providing essential resources, including coaching, uniforms, laptops, cycles, and even scooters to help students from all walks of life access quality education.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state’s education sector has made significant strides, and Yadav stressed that these efforts are aimed at creating future leaders who are well-equipped for the challenges of tomorrow.
Earlier in the day, CM Yadav personally welcomed a group of girls, who were among the first to complete their admission formalities for the KG 2 class (kindergarten) at one of the newly named Sandipani Vidyalayas. The CM also distributed gifts to the young students, symbolizing the government’s encouragement and support for early education.
This gesture was seen as a reminder of the importance of starting strong in the educational journey, with the state now offering more facilities to ensure that every child in Madhya Pradesh has access to quality education from an early age.
The rebranding of CM Rise Schools to Sandipani Vidyalaya is not just a name change, but a symbolic step toward bringing traditional wisdom and modern education together. With the added benefit of the new admissions portal and ongoing initiatives under the ‘School Chale Hum’ campaign, the state government is reinforcing its commitment to inclusive and quality education for all children in Madhya Pradesh.\
