NIOS exams 2021: Here's what the board said on postponement or cancellation of Class 10, 12 exams

NIOS 10th, 12th exams 2021: Amid boards postponing/cancelling the upcoming board examinations in view of the increasing COVID cases, the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has said that a decision with regard to the upcoming NIOS Class 10 and NIOS Class 12 June 2021 examinations will be taken keeping the safety and well being of students in mind. “In view of the prevailing situation due to covid-19 pandemic across the country and also taking in account the safety and well being of the Learners, the NIOS is keeping a close watch on the situation for the schedule of June 2021 Examinations,” a statement from NIOS read.
Students must keep checking the official NIOS website for updates regarding the upcoming board examinations.

NIOS also recently extended the last date for submitting the examination fee with a consolidated late fee of Rs 1,500 for secondary and senior secondary courses for June 2021 Exams until 12 am on 18 April 2021.

Parents have mentioned that it will be difficult for children who suffer from a wide range of learning and intellectual disabilities to enter into the examination hall where COVID-19 protocols have been put in place. The parents have also sought a generous and rational distribution of marks on the lines of CBSE.
