Telangana Education Board has revised the TS SSC exam 2021. The students will now appear for six papers for six subjects instead of 11 papers earlier. The SSC examinations 2021 will be held from May 17 to 26.
The Telangana School Education Department has introduced changes in the existing TS SSC exam pattern 2021 considering the COVID19 pandemic situation. According to the official notification, the students will now appear for six papers for six subjects instead of 11 papers earlier.
Number of papers
“As a part of the new six-subjects question paper pattern, the paper 1 and 2 of first language, English, Mathematics, General Science (Physics and Biology) and Social Studies shall be merged into a single paper instead of two papers for each subject. There shall be no change in the second language paper,” the notification stated.
Increased optional questions, timings
The exams will carry 80 marks and will provide more optional questions. The timings of examination has also been increased by half an hour i.e. to three hours 15 minutes from two hours 45 minutes earlier.
Class 10 students from the state must finish their TS SSC syllabus to have ample time for revision. They must download and practice TS SSC sample papers or previous years’ question papers to familiarize with the marking scheme, the types of questions asked and to learn time management. They are advised to solve the entire sample paper within the stipulated time.
The TS SSC 2021 exam is scheduled between May 17 and May 26. The schools were opened for classes 9 and 10 students on February 1.
