DAVV Students demand MBA exam postponement

Postpone DAVV MBA Exam: Students from various colleges affiliated with Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) rallied on the RNT Marg campus, demanding a postponement of their MBA second semester exams scheduled to commence on September 12. With over 10,000 students from Indore slated to participate, the protesters argued that their course syllabus remains incomplete, and proceeding with the exams without adequate preparation would be unjust.

Call for Extended Preparation Time

The students have requested a minimum 15-day extension to better prepare for their exams. They expressed concerns that the current schedule does not provide sufficient time to cover the remaining syllabus. The students also cited poor results from the first semester, where only 30% passed, and fear that a similar outcome in the upcoming exams could jeopardize their academic progress.

University Response and Possible Solutions

In response, DAVV examination controller Dr Ashesh Tiwari stated that the issue would be raised with the vice-chancellor and discussed with the principals and directors of MBA colleges. Dr Tiwari acknowledged the concerns and indicated that the university would assess the syllabus completion status. The possibility of holding extra classes to cover the remaining chapters will also be explored. The university's decision will be based on these discussions to ensure that the academic schedule and students' needs are balanced.
