The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has once again extended the last date for admission to the July 2020 cycle. With this extension, students interested in IGNOU Admission 2020 can now apply for an undergraduate and postgraduate degree and diploma programmes until December 15, 2020. As per the statement released by the institute, candidates can apply by visiting the official website of the IGNOU; i.e. https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in .

“The last date for Fresh Admissions has been extended till 15th December, 2020. (For Programmes other than Certificate and Semester based Programmes) in pursuance of the UGC notice. Interested candidates can apply in Bachelor's Degree Programmes, Master's Degree Programmes and Diploma & PG Diploma Programmes of the university,” IGNOU said.

IGNOU July 2020 Admission: How to Apply

• Go to the official website of the IGNOU; i.e. ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/
• Click on the new registration link
• Fill in the registration form and click on ‘Register’
• Now, login using your username, password and fill the application form

Recently, IGNOU started re-registration for January 2021 cycle. As per an official statement by IGNOU, “Re-registration means registering for next year/semester of a Programme. So it is applicable only to students enrolled in undergraduate / postgraduate / semester-based programmes of two-three year duration”.

At present, IGNOU offers more than 200 programmes at certificate, diploma, degree and doctoral level. Two admission cycles are being conducted for the intake of students in a year in January and July. For the January session, the online registration for most of the courses usually starts from November every year and for July, registrations begin in May.
