JMI Admission 2020: Jamia Millia Islamia on Wednesday, i.e. September 16 stated that it will hold written tests for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Students interested in taking admission to the Jamia Millia Islamia University must know that the university was considering having merit-based admissions this year owing to the COVID-19 pandemic but in the Executive Council (EC) meeting held on Tuesday, i.e. September 15, 2020, it decided to hold entrance tests for admission.

The EC also stated that the results of the final semester/year of various programmes will be declared as early as possible by the university. The final year/semester examinations of each faculty were conducted by JMI from June 5 to June 20 except the Faculty of Dentistry (FoD) and Centre for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences (CPRS) as the university was waiting for guidelines from the respective governing bodies. According to the official statement, in the view of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation, the university also allowed the students to deposit the university and school fees in two instalments.

The University further added that the EC also approved the proposal and final structure of an Integrated Jamia Library System (IJLS) whereby all 34 JMI faculties and centres' libraries will be transformed into one IJLS.

The schools and colleges across the nation are closed due to the outbreak of the deadly novel coronavirus. Meanwhile, to curb the academic loss of the students, the educational institutions are exploring different mediums to continue the teaching-learning process.
