MUHS postpone exam of medical students amid surge in active COVID-19 cases
The decision to postpone the exam has been taken after discussions with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat, Health Minister Rajesh Tope and Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Nana Patole.
MUHS MBBS Final Year Exams 2021: Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has once again postponed the MBBS Exams for the final year students scheduled to begin on April 19 owing to the rise in coronavirus positive cases in the state. State Medical Education Minister Amit V Deshmukh said that the exam will now be held in June. The university will release the detailed schedule shortly.
The decision to postpone the exam has been taken after discussions with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat, Health Minister Rajesh Tope and Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Nana Patole.
While announcing the postponement, Minister for Medical Education Amit V Deshmukh said: “Maharashtra University of Health Sciences has decided to postpone the examinations of medical students to be held from April 19 after discussing with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray."
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has postponed the Mah HSC and will study and discuss the CBSE's move of cancelling Mah SSC board exams 2021 amid a surge in COVID cases in the state.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has cancelled CBSE 10th exams 2021 and postponed CBSE Class 12 Board exams in view of the surge in COVID-19 cases. The decision on CBSE 12th exams 2021 will be taken on June 1. For class 10 students, CBSE 10th result 2021 will be prepared on the basis of an “objective criterion” to be developed by the Board. CBSE 12th exams 2021, which were scheduled between May 4 and June 14, will now be conducted at a later date.
