Pearl Academy, Usha International join hands at PORTFOLIO 25 to Empower Young Fashion Creators

The event at Pearl Academy Delhi was a vibrant celebration of fashion, innovation, and dialogue. Alongside an impressive graduate fashion show, the campus hosted ADI@Portfolio ’25 – DSGN-ED, a knowledge exchange platform that brought together thought leaders, educators, and industry veterans for discussions on the evolving relationship between design and education.

Pearl Academy has partnered with Usha International for its much-anticipated PORTFOLIO 25 graduation showcase. The collaboration aims to celebrate creativity, craftsmanship, and the entrepreneurial spirit of young fashion designers across Pearl Academy campuses in Delhi, Jaipur, Bengaluru, and Mumbai.

The event at Pearl Academy Delhi was a vibrant celebration of fashion, innovation, and dialogue. Alongside an impressive graduate fashion show, the campus hosted ADI@Portfolio ’25 – DSGN-ED, a knowledge exchange platform that brought together thought leaders, educators, and industry veterans for discussions on the evolving relationship between design and education.

The highlight of the day was the graduate fashion runway, where each collection presented by the students was a unique narrative of inspiration, disruption, and innovation. From concept to craft, the show marked their transformation into industry-ready professionals.

Barbie Sewing Studio by Usha: A Gen Z Favourite

Usha International’s Barbie Sewing Studio emerged as the showstopper in the “Grab & Go” zone. Drenched in dreamy pastels, the installation featured three Usha Barbie sewing machines surrounded by miniature mannequins clad in custom Barbie-inspired couture. The display celebrated fashion as a personal and sustainable expression, echoing trends embraced by Gen Z consumers.

Live Sewing Demonstrations: DIY with Purpose

Adding hands-on excitement to the event were live sewing demonstration counters where students and fashion lovers could engage in mini DIY projects using Usha sewing machines. These experiential zones aimed to ignite curiosity around sewing as a tool for self-expression, creativity, and sustainability.
