As per the NTA guidelines, the CUET PG Mass Communication 2025 syllabus is formulated so that their analytical and comprehensive skills will be tested in the form of MCQ questions. The CUET PG Mass Communication syllabus will also help the aspirants analyse the topics that they have already covered in their UG courses and the ones that are left to be covered.

Q:   Who sets the CUET PG syllabus?
A:

Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will be introduced for admission into UG/ PG programmes in Central and participating Universities for academic session 2025-26. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will
provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from NorthEast and from rural and other remote areas and help to establish better connect with the Universities. 

The CUET PG 2025 examination will be conducted by the examination authority i.e., NTA (National Testing Agency) in the various CUET PG examination centres across the nation and also to short listed foreign countries. The Syllabus for the master's courses for which the examination will be conducted is set by the exam conducting authority, which is National Testing Agency here. The subject experts after taking all the probable suggestions from all the participating universities, will set the syllabus for the master's degree programmes on the basis of what students have studied in their under graduate courses.

Q:   Has CUET PG MCA syllabus 2025 been changed?
A:

Yes, NTA has added some new topics in the CUET PG MCA syllabus for the academic session 2025-2026. There are majorly three subjects in MCA syllabus namely, Decision Making and Thinking Skills, Mathematics and Computers. The exam officials added few more topics in the Computer subject.

The added topics are mentioned below:

  • Computer networks: OSI Model, TCP/IP model, LAN technologies (Ethernet, Token ring), Transmission media – twisted pair, coaxial cables fiber–optic cables, Flow and error control techniques,
  • Routing algorithms, Congestion control, IP (v4), Application layer protocols (icmp, dns, smtp, pop,
  • ftp, http); Sliding window protocols; Internetworking: Switch /Hub, Bridge, Router, Gateways,
  • Concatenated virtual circuits, Firewalls: Network Security; Cryptography- public key, secret key.
  • Domain Name System (DNS)-Electronic Mail and World Wide Web (WWW). 
  • Database Management System: Data Models, Schemas, and Instances; Three-Schema Architecture and Data Independence; Database Languages and Interfaces; Centralized and Client/Server Architectures for DBMS, Functional Dependencies and Normalization; Algorithms for Query Processing and Optimization; Transaction Processing, Concurrency Control Techniques, Database Recovery Techniques, Object and Object-Relational Databases; Database Security and
    Authorization. Entity-Relationship Diagram, Relational Model - Constraints, Languages, Design, and Programming, Relational Database Schemas, Update Operations and Dealing with Constraint Violations; Relational Algebra and Relational Calculus; Codd Rules.

CUET PG MA Mass Communication 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to appear for the CUET PG Mass Communication course need to meet the basic/minimal CUET PG eligibility criteria 2025 in order to appear for the exam. CUET Mass Communication eligibility criteria include important requirements like Age Limit, Educational Qualification, Nationality and Reservations that one needs to satisfy.

CUET PG Mass Communication 2025 Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit

According to the CUET PG 2025 information brochure, there is no age limit for the candidates appearing in the exam. The candidates who have passed the bachelor's degree/equivalent examination or are appearing in 2025 irrespective of their age can appear in master’s degree programs in the Central Universities through the CUET (PG) 2025 examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfil the age criteria of the University to which they are desirous of taking admission.

CUET PG Mass Communication Eligibility Criteria 2025: Nationality

To get eligible for the CUET PG Exam, aspirants must abide by the following citizenship rules:

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • A constituent subject of Nepal, Bhutan
  • A Tibetan refugee who landed in India before 1 January 1962 to make India their permanent home and reside there permanently.
  • Pakistanis, Burmese, Sri Lankans, Kenyans, Ugandans, Tanzanians, Zambians, Malawians, Zaireans, Ethiopians, and people from Vietnam who permanently moved to India.

CUET PG MA Mass Communication 2025 Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification

  • Graduate Degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 pattern securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at Graduate level except those subjects where only pass marks are required
    and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) marksheet Pass with 50% or more marks in aggregate in the Bachelor’s degree in the qualifying 3 or 4-year Bachelor Degree Examinations.
  • Any Graduate with a minimum of 50 per cent marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in aggregate from a recognized University /Institution. (5% relaxation will be given to SC/ST/PwD candidates).

CUET PG 2025 Mass Communication Exam Structure 

CUET PG Mass Communication exam pattern 2025 is anticipated to be the same as the previous year. NTA has changed the CUET PG exam pattern for the 2024-2025 academic session. Part A or the general section was removed where questions from general reasoning/ aptitude were asked.
