In the latest guidelines, the education department of the Delhi Government has asked school heads and principals to keep a record of the students from the Delhi's violence-hit northeast who were not able to appear for Board exams. The education department has asked the principals and superintendents of exam centres to share the record with the CBSE.

The Directorate of Education has stated that the students need not worry in case they miss their ongoing CBSE Board exams until March 7. According to the statement given by the government, schools of such students will directly enroll the students who miss examination until March 7 for repeat examination which the Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct at a later date. It has also asked the students to stay connected with their school after March 7 and ask for the latest updates on CBSE exams to be held again. Students can also contact the school head for books, stationery, and other material.

Further, the education department will also organize a special parent-teacher meeting (PTM) in all schools located in Delhi’s northeast district and adjoining areas of Delhi on March 4-5 to talk and assure parents about the wellbeing of their children.

Last week, students preparing for board examination faced a lot in the riot-affected areas of the national capital. The prevailing violent condition made many students miss their Board exams. However, approximately 98% of students of class 12 appeared for both physics and history examination in the riot-torn areas of Delhi on Monday and Tuesday respectively.
