AEEE question paper has five sections - Maths, Physics, Chemistry, English and Quantitative Aptitude. The Quantitative Aptitude section has been added from 2026. Before that, the AEEE exam had only four sections - Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and English.

Q:   How much weightage does the Physics section has in AEEE?

Physics in the AEEE exam carries a total of 75 marks. This section has 25 MCQs and each MCQ carries 3 marks. Thus candidates must focus in this section and try to score well. Candidates must adhere to the AEEE syllabus and prepare all the topics given in the physics section. Through the syllabus of AEEE, candidates can get an idea of the topics, subtopics, chapters, and units to be covered while preparing for the AEEE exam. The questions in AEEE are based on the syllabus in Class 11 and 12. All the questions are of Multiple Choice Types and have four answers of equal weightage.

AEEE Question Paper Pattern - New

From 2026 onwards, the AEEE exam pattern has undergone a major change. 

Instead of the previous four sections in the exam, there will now be five sections. A new section has been added this year, which is Quantitative Aptitude. Now, there will be a total of 100 questions, with 40 questions in Maths, 25 in Physics, 20 in Chemistry, 10 in Quantitative Aptitude and 5 in English. The total time of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

As per the official marking scheme, 3 (Three) marks are awarded for each correct answer and -1 (negative one) for each wrong answer.
