Candidates willing to apply for the GATE exam can check the GATE paper codes and combination details below. Registrations for GATE 2026 will begin on August 25 on the GATE GOAPS portal. IIT Guwahati has published the list of GATE paper combinations 2026 for all paper codes on the website. Along with that, the required GATE 2026 document list and GATE exam cities list has been updated on the official page. There are no changes made in the sections. The GATE application form 2026 will be released on August 25, and the last date to apply is September 25 (without late fees) and till October 6 (with late fees).The GATE 2026 exam dates are February 7, 8, 14, and 15. No, there are no changes in the GATE two paper combination. Candidates can refer to the list above while applying for GATE primary and secondary paper.
How to Apply for the GATE Second Paper?
When filling out the application form, candidates can apply for the GATE second paper. Candidates opting to appear for two papers must have a primary choice of the test paper. The second paper must be chosen from the allowed/prescribed combinations mentioned above. The GATE exam centre of the candidate for the second paper may be different (but in the same city) from that of the first paper.
