GATE Counselling 2026: COAP Registrations from March 27, Scorecard download date
GATE counselling 2026 dates are out. The counselling will be done by COAP and CCMT. For now, COAP 2026 portal has been launched, and round 1 counselling will begin from May 11 onwards. However, COAP 2026 registrations will begin from March 27. Read below for more.
GATE 2026 counselling dates for COAP are now available. The COAP 2026 registration will begin from March 27 onwards. Qualified GATE 2026/2025/2024 can access the GATE Common Offer Acceptance Portal. The round 1 counselling will begin on May 11. However, many IITs, including IISc Bangalore, have started their respective online registrations for MTech admission. Candidates can check details below. IIT Roorkee is conducting COAP counselling 2026 and the official website is coap2026.iitr.ac.in.
GATE 2026 Counselling: IIT MTech Admission Process & COAP Registration Date
The GATE result 2026 was released on March 19, and qualified candidates will be able to participate in the counselling process. COAP portal is used for IIT MTech admission. Here’s how one must apply.
Steps to register for COAP 2026
Candidates can check detailed process on how to access COAP portal and apply at respective IITs-
- First, candidates have to visit GATE’s official website and download their scorecard.
- Students can download their scorecard using their enrollment ID and password.
- After downloading, now go to COAP portal and register
- COAP 2026 registration can be done for free, and there is no need to submit any documents.
- Once registration is complete, candidates must visit respective IIT website and apply.
It must be noted that before applying at IITs for MTech for PSU jobs, candidates must register at COAP 2026 first to generate ID.
The COAP GATE 2026 counselling will have 5 main and 5 optional rounds, where candidates have to perform certain activities, such as -
- Accept and freeze
- Retain and wait
- Reject and wait

GATE 2026 Scorecard Download Date
The scorecard will be made available on March 27 at candidate login. The result scorecard will be made available for free till May 31. Post that, it can be downloaded by paying a fee of INR 500 till December 31. The official website to download the GATE scorecard 2026 is gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
