The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has recently revised the JEE Main 2016 eligibility criteria. According to the official website of the exam, the Board has added a clause for students taking the improvement exam.

JEE Main 2016 results out, check details!

The recently released JEE Main 2016 information brochure states, "The candidates willing to appear for improvement examination of class 12th in 2016 have to appear in all the 5 subjects as per the scheme of study of the concerned board. Further, they may also note that in the percentile system, the total marks (of all five subjects) obtained/shown on the mark-sheet of a particular year are required in JEE (Main) and also in JEE (Advanced). The marks from two different year’s (i.e. marks for 3 subjects from year 2015 and marks for other 2 subjects from 2016) mark-sheets cannot be considered for percentile calculation”.

JEE Main 2016 will be held on April 3 (Offline), April 9 and 10, 2016 (Online). To be eligible for the exam, candidates will have to ensure that they fulfill all the the eligibility norms released by CBSE recently.

I checked on mains brochure about the change in %tile system but cant find the info mentioned above .i s this a right information? if yes u better mention the page of the brochure

I still have a doubt regarding the improvement of 11th class ( first year Intermediate of AP State ) where students opt to reappear only a few subjects to achieve at least 98 percent of marks. In such cases, will the marks achieved first time only be considered ? Please clarify
