JEE Main 2021 Session 4: Day 4 ends; know students’ reactions, subject-wise paper analysis

As per the students, who took the JEE Main 2021 in Shift 2 on September 1, 2021, the overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate. The maths and physics section were moderately difficult, while chemistry was easiest.
Physics moderately difficult, chemistry easy
While talking to Shiksha, Aryaman Mohan from Chandigarh, who appeared in the JEE Main 2021 Session 4 Shift 2, said, “The overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate. The paper was well set and balanced. It was easiest as compared with the previous JEE Main 2021 sessions. The chemistry section included straightforward and easy questions. Physics was moderately difficult, whereas maths was a bit difficult. In chemistry, more weightage was given to organic, inorganic and physical chemistry. In physics, there were questions from electricity and magnetism, while in maths, questions on the topics of calculus, geometry, trigonometry and basic algebra were asked.”
Maths most difficult, lengthy
Vansh Vashisht from Delhi, who also appeared in the JEE Main 2021 Session 4 Shift 2, said, “The paper was moderately difficult. The paper was difficult than the JEE Main Session 3. Maths was most difficult and quite lengthy. Chemistry was easiest and physics was moderate. Physics mainly focused on electrostatics, AC circuits, DC circuits, electromagnetism and thermodynamics. In chemistry, there were 2-3 questions from inorganic chemistry, a lot of physical chemistry and around 4-5 questions of organic chemistry. Maths was mainly about limits, calculus, integration, trigonometry and 2-3 questions from algebra.”
The JEE Main 2021 (Session 4) is being held on August 26, 27, 31, and September 1 and 2 in 13 languages – English, Hindi, Gujarati, Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. The first and second sessions were conducted in February and March, respectively. The third session was held on July 20, 22, 25 & 27. JEE Main is the engineering entrance exam for admission to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. JEE Main is also the qualifying exam for the JEE Advanced, the only admission test for the IITs. This year, IIT Kharagpur will conduct the JEE Advanced.
