The exact schedule of the exam and registration will be announced on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

JEE-Main-2022-exam-dates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to announce JEE Main 2022 exam dates anytime soon. The delay in the announcement of JEE 2022 dates was mainly due to the delay in the class 12 board exam dates announcement. Now since the schedule of class 12 board exams of most states as well as the CBSE has been announced, NTA will soon release JEE Mains 2022 dates.

The CBSE class 12 board exams will start on April 26 and board exams in most other states are concluding by April 8. Therefore, NTA is most likely to conduct the JEE Mains 2022 exam after April 9, before the beginning of the CBSE board exams. Considering the dates of class 12 boards in various states, exams in Maharashtra end on March 30, Telangana exams conclude on April 8 while the Karnataka board exams is beginning on April 16. Thus, holding JEE after April 9 and before April 15 is the most suitable window.

The exam had been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the country and, as the situation is now approaching normal, the NTA will be conducting the exams soon. It is expected that JEE Main 2022 registration will start by the end of this week. JEE Main application form will be released online on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Number of attempts in JEE Mains 2022
It is most likely that NTA will conduct the exam in four sessions, April, May, June and July respectively. However, considering the delay in the conduct of the first session exam, there is a possibility of a decrease in the number of attempts. In 2021, the exam was held four times and before that NTA had conducted the exam only twice a year.

Will there be any change in JEE Main syllabus and exam pattern?
The syllabus and exam pattern of JEE Mains 2022 is likely to remain the same. NTA had not made any changes to the syllabus in 2020 and 2021 and thus the syllabus for 2022 will also most likely remain the same.

The exam pattern was changed in 2021. Students were given the option of internal choices within the questions and the total number of questions in each subject was increased from 25 to 30. There are chances that the exam pattern will also remain the same as in 2021.
