National Testing Agency has concluded JEE Main 5 April Shift 1 exam. Based on initial reactions by students, JEE Main 2026 April 5 Shift 1 paper analysis is now available. Moderate but Lengthy. More calculation heavy numerical problems. High weightage topics were Microscope, Elasticity, Units & Dimensions, Capacitor & Inductance, Current Electricity, Electrostatics, Magnetism, Ray Optics, Sound Wave, Semiconductors.

Chemistry

Easy, More questions from Organic. High weightage topics were fromΒ Biomolecules and General Organic Chemistry (GOC).

Was JEE Main 2026 April 5 Shift 1 paper easy or tough?

Most students have reported that they found JEE Main 2026 April 5 Shift 1 exam was easier as compared to Session 1. While most Physics questions were lengthy to solve, Mathematics and Chemistry were moderate to easy and NCERT based. For this shift, 190 to 200 marks is expected to be required for 99 percentile.

NTA is conducting JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam at various exam centres. For Paper 1 (BTech), JEE Main exam dates are April 2, 4, 5, 6 and 8. Paper 2 (BArch/BPlan) will be held on April 7, 2026.
