JEE Main 2026 Exam Schedule Out with Admit Card

JEE Main 2026: National Testing Agency has released exam schedule along with JEE Main 2026 session 1 admit cards. Candidates who have registered can check dates, reporting times, shift details and exam day guidelines mentioned on JEE Main admit card 2026. As per schedule released, paper 1 (BE/BTech) of JEE Main will be conducted on January 21, 22, 23, 24 and 28, 2026, in two shifts: shift 1 from 9 AM to 12 Noon and second shift from 3 to 6 PM. 

JEE Main 2026 Paper 2A (BArch) and 2В (BPlanning) and Paper 2A & 2B (B Arch & BPlanning both) will take place on January 29, 2026, in a single shift from 9 AM to 12:30 PM. Candidates will get details of exact date and time in their JEE Main admit card for session 1. They need to visit official website and use login details to download JEE Main 2026 admit card.

JEE Main 2026 Reporting Time vs Gate Closing Time

Candidates must note that they must reach centre at their reporting time. Once gates are closed, they will not be allowed to enter.

JEE Main 2026 Shift Wise Duration

• Shift 1: Morning exams are held from 9 AM to 12 PM
• Shift 2: Afternoon exams are conducted from 3 to 6 PM

Some architecture/planning papers may extend to 12:30 PM or 6:30 PM, depending on duration.

Important Dos & Don’ts on JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Exam Day

Candiates must keep these points in mind when appearing for JEE Main 2026 exam for session 1 

• Carry printed JEE Main admit card and any one valid photo ID (e.g., Aadhaar, passport)
• Carry passport-size photographs as specified in instructions
• They must reach exam centre before reporting time to complete biometric and security checks
• Follow invigilator instructions and fill in all required details on attendance sheet carefully

Don’ts of JEE Main 2026 

• Do not enter centre after gate closing time, latecomers are not permitted
• Do not carry prohibited items like electronic devices, calculators, watches, bags, etc
• Avoid talking loudly in JEE Main exam premises
• Do not forget essential items like admit card, ID proof and stationery
