The National Testing Agency (NTA) has concluded the JEE Main 2026 registration for January session exam. The last date for JEE Main 2026 session 1 application form was November 27, 2025. The next event in the timeline is JEE Main 2026 form correction for session 1, which will be held from December 1 to 2, 2025.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has concluded the JEE Main 2026 registration for January session exam. The last date for JEE Main 2026 session 1 application form was November 27, 2025. Media reports claim that around 14.3 lakh candidates have registered for the exam.ย 

The next event in the timeline is JEE Main 2026 form correction for session 1, which will be held from December 1 to 2, 2025. All those who made errors in the JEE Mains application form can use this facility to make edits to their forms. The JEE Main form correction is a one-time use facility and candidates can make edits to a select few fields only. The authorities have released the list of editable fields online at jeemain.nta.nic.in

Students who do not require form correction should wait for the JEE Mains city intimation slip, which will be available in the first week of January 2026. Candidates will get an idea of the allotted exam city and their JEE Main 2026 exam date and shift timings. The authority will release the complete exam centre address with the JEE Main admit card 2026.

JEE Main 2026 Exam Date Session 1

The authority will conduct the JEE Main 2026 exam in online CBT mode from January 21 to 30, 2026. The exam will be held in two shifts, morning and afternoon. Candidates can check the tentative timeline for the JEE Mains 2026 session 1 exam events below.

No, candidates are not required to send the prinout of JEE Main application form 2026 to the NTA office. Candidates have to fill and submit the application form online only. However, it is advised that candidates download, take a printout of their filled application form and keept it safe until the completion of admission process. JEE Main 2026 application form copy might be required at the time of counselling/admission process in the institute. 

Q: ย  Can I fill JEE Main application form 2026 offline?

No, JEE Main application form can only be filled online. The application form of JEE Main is released only in online mode on the website jeemain.nta.ac.in. There is no option of filling the application form in offline mode. Candidates who do not have a laptop/personal computer can visit the computer centre/common service centres to fill the application form. While filling the JEE Main 2026 application form, candidates will also have to upload scanned image of their photo and signature. Candidates belonging to reserved category (Gen-EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) also need to upload the category certificate.
