The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the JEE Main 2026 registration date through a public notice dated October 19. The JEE Mains registration for session 1 will begin in October, and for session 2 in the last week of January 2026. The notice communicated several key updates on the JEE Mains 2026 exam, such as exam dates, registration schedule, an increase in exam centres and the biggest change of the Aadhar auto-fill feature. The JEE Main 2026 session 1 registration start date is October 25, 2025 (tentatively).
Once the form goes live, candidates must visit the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in and complete the application process. Applicants first have to register themselves as a new candidate and then log in with their details to fill out the complete form. With the introduction of the Aadhar-based auto-fetch feature, students have to fill out only certain details. This not only simplifies the JEE Mains 2026 registration process but also reduces the chances of errors in the candidate’s personal details. Then, students have to upload the documents and pay the application fee.
Only those who complete all the stages will be issued the JEE Main admit card 2026 to appear for the test. NTA has also confirmed that it is set to increase the number of JEE Mains exam centres 2026. This will offer greater flexibility and accessibility to students. Also, special attention will be given to PwD candidates to ensure a smooth examination process.
