JEE Mains 2026 Session 2 Begins Today: Check Shift Timings and Dress Code
JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam starts today. The authority is conducting the JEE Mains exam for about 11.23 lakh aspirants competing for admission to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. The top 2.50,000 students who qualify the JEE Mains exam become eligible to appear in the JEE Advanced exam for admission to IITs. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam starting today, April 2, with lakhs of students appearing across the country. The exam will continue till April 8 to facilitate a large number of students. The exam is being held at 566 examination centres across 304 cities in India and 14 cities outside the country. While appearing at the test centres, candidates must follow the exam-day rules to gain entry inside the hall.

- What to Wear: Light and comfortable clothes, slippers or sandals with low heels
- What to Avoid: Clothes with metal parts or large buttons, heavy outfits, jackets, or hoodies, shoes with thick soles, accessories
Important Exam Day Guidelines
- Carry your JEE Mains session 2 admit card, valid ID proof, and photograph
- Do not bring electronic devices like mobile phones or smartwatches
- Follow all instructions given at the exam centre
- Maintain discipline inside the exam hall
