NIRF India Rankings 2025 to be announced tomorrow, Sept 4. Will IIT Madras, AIIMS Delhi, IIM Bangalore and IISc continue their dominance? Check past toppers here.

The Union Ministry of Education will announce the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025 Rankings tomorrow, on September 4. The annual list of institutions, covers major categories such as Engineering, Medical, Management, Law, and Overall performance. In 2024, Rankings were announced under 16 categories with addition of Open University, Skill University and State Public University. 

Launched in 2016. for lakhs of aspirants, NIRF Rankings are more than a scorecard. The Rankings influence admission choices, placements, and even career trajectories. For institutions, they bring national visibility, prestige, and higher credibility in academic circles.

Engineering: IIT Madras’ Unbroken Streak

In the Engineering category, IIT Madras has maintained an impressive run, ranking #1 in 2022, 2023, and 2024. The institute’s consistency reflects its unwavering edge in research, faculty quality, and outcomes year after year.

Medical: AIIMS Delhi Stays Untouched

For Medical education, AIIMS Delhi has been the undisputed leader, holding the #1 rank in both 2023 and 2024. Institutes such as PGIMER Chandigarh and CMC Vellore often follow closely, but AIIMS continues to be the most aspirational destination for NEET candidates across the country.

Management (MBA): IIM Ahmedabad vs Bengaluru Rivalry

The Management rankings are closely watched by MBA aspirants preparing through CAT. Here, the contest has largely been between IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bengaluru. In 2022, 2023 and 2024, IIM Ahmedabad held the #1 position, while IIM Bengaluru remained close behind. IIM Kozhikode has also steadily climbed, cementing its place among the top three. These shifts reflect how competition among the IIMs has intensified in recent years.

Universities and Overall Rankings: IISc and IIT Madras Lead

In the Overall category of NIRF India Rankings, IIT Madras was ranked the best institution in 2024, reflecting its multidisciplinary strength across engineering, research, and innovation. Meanwhile, IISc Bengaluru continued to dominate the University category, underlining its reputation as India’s leading hub for advanced research and postgraduate education.

NTA has released the JEE Mains Session 2 Result 2025 online on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. To check JEE Mains 2025 result, candidates can follow the step-by-step process mentioned below: 

  • Visit the official website of NTA JEE Main result at jeemain.nta.nic.in 2025.

  • On the latest news banner, click on 'View JEE Main result 2025 session 2'

  • On the next page, enter the application number, password and security pin 

  • Next, click on 'Submit'.

  • on the next page, JEE Main Result 2025 along with scores will appear on the screen.

Q:   What is the NEET 2025 result date?
A:

The National Testing Agency announced the NEET 2025 result on June 14, 2025. The NEET 2025 final answer key was released on the same date. Last year, the date of NEET result declaration was June 14, but the result was announced 10 days in advance, on June 4, 2024. 

Q:   Has NBE declared result date for NEET PG 2025?
A:

Yes. NBE announced NEET PG 2025 result on August 19, 2025. The official date for result was September 3, 2025. NEET PG 2025 result cum merit list has been uploaded online. Qualified candidates can download the scorecards with login details. Those who score the minimum cut off are declared qualified for the exam. It must be noted that the result is valid for that particular session only. Those who score the minimum cut off will be declared qualified for the exam. Qualified candidates will be eligible for the counselling for seat allotment.
