Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Berhampur will release IISER seat allotment 2026 for Round 1 on July 24, 2026. IAT seat allotment release time is 5 PM. Candidates must log in through IISER IAT login portal to check the seat allotment. Those whose receives offer must submit their willingness and pay seat acceptance fee by July 28, 2026.

IISER 2026 Counselling Round 1 Dates
IISER counselling round 1 will be conducted from 24 July to 28 July 2026. Candidates receiving offers submit their willingness and pay the seat acceptance fee (SAF). Those who have selected "Accepted & Float" or "Accepted & Freeze" must pay SAF.

A good rank in the IISER exam is between 1 and 5000. This will help to get admission to the top IISER institutes. A rank between 6000 and 9000 is considered safe for admission.
Candidates allotted seats will have to download the seat allotment letter by logging in to the admission website with their registration credentials. The letter must be preserved till the admission formalities are completed. Candidates have to accept the offer sent to them only after they pay the prescribed seat acceptance fee (SAF) by the stipulated date and time. In case they don't pay the fee, the seat will be withdrawn.
IISER does not conduct the counselling or admission process for IISc Bangalore and IIT Madras through the IAT scores. These institutes conduct their own counselling or admission process. IISER counselling process is conducted only for seven IISER institutes located across India.
