QS World University Rankings 2027: IIT Delhi Ranked at 118; Three IITs Feature in Global Top 200

QS World University Rankings 2027: IIT Delhi Ranked at 118; Three IITs Feature in Global Top 200
In the QS World Ranking 2027, IIT Delhi emerged as the country's highest-ranked institution. It has been ranked at 118 globally, followed by IIT Bombay at 134 and IIT Madras at 170. Out of all the institutes participating in the QS ranking, only these three IITs made it to the top 200. On the other hand, the QS World Ranking 2027 also featured 13 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), eight of which are placed within the global top 500.
The total number of institutes featured in the ranking is 52. Of them, 33 are public institutions, and 19 are private or private not-for-profit universities.
Overall, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States retained the top position, followed by Imperial College London and Stanford University in this year's QS rankings.
Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) in QS World Ranking 2027
IIT Delhi has emerged as the top institution from India in the global QS ranking. Notably, the ranking of IIT Delhi has also improved this year from 123rd to 118th position globally.
