University Final Year Exams 2020: Conduct backlog exams for final year students, asks Karnataka Deputy CM

The Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, C. N. Ashwath Narayan said that the universities all set to conduct final semester exams for students must also conduct exams for the backlog papers. Through his official Twitter account, the minister requested the varsities of the state. According to the minister, there were confusions regarding the final semester exams for undergraduate students for which he advised the varsities to solve the issues. In his tweet, the minister wrote that considering the ongoing pandemic situation it is decided to hold the final year exams only. However, it is being noticed that some universities are not going to conduct the backlog exams which is why he asked the varsities to conduct the exams.

The minister said, “Our intention is to see that the final year students finish their course. In the present situation conducting only final year exams will not help. We have to develop a system where students can clear their backlogs.” Check his official tweet below:

Ashwath Narayan also thanked the staff and officials in various government departments responsible for conducting KCET Exam 2020 during the pandemic outbreak. “After we conducted the exams the Arunachal Pradesh Government is also going to conduct the Public Service Commission exams. Likewise even KPSC has informed that it would be conducting exams”, he said.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Education Board KSEEB is yet to announce Karnataka SSLC Results 2020. Initially, the Board scheduled the Karnataka SSLC exams from March 27, 2020, but postponed the same following the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown. The exams were finally conducted from June 25 to July 4. Over 8.40 lakh students who appeared are waiting for their results. Students are advised to monitor the official website of KSEEB or stay tuned with shiksha.com for all the latest updates.
