UPTAC 2026 Counselling Registration Begins at uptac.samarth.edu.in; BTech Admissions via JEE Mains

Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has started the UPTAC 2026 counselling registration process for admission to BTech and other undergraduate professional courses offered by participating institutes across Uttar Pradesh. Eligible candidates can now complete the UPTAC 2026 application form online through the official counselling portal, uptac.samarth.edu.in.

The Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) is conducted for admissions to programmes offered by AKTU-affiliated institutions and other state universities. BTech admissions will primarily be based on JEE Main 2026 ranks, while admissions to other courses such as BDes, BPharmacy, BHMCT, BFAD and BFA will consider CUET UG scores.

Candidates applying for UPTAC 2026 counselling will have to complete registration, fill the application form, upload required documents and pay the counselling fee online. As per the available information, the registration fee is INR 1,000 for all categories.

How to Fill UPTAC 2026 Counselling Application Form

Candidates can follow the steps given below to complete the UPTAC 2026 registration process:

• Access Portal: Visit uptac.samarth.edu.in, and click "New Candidate Registration."
• Enter Details: Name, date of birth, email address, create a password, and mobile number.
• OTP Verification: Verify the OTP sent to your mobile number and email ID.
• Read Instructions: Read all details that appear on the screen and click "I Agree".
• Verify using APAAR ID: Candidates need to verify their APAAR ID to proceed with the next step of the application.
•  Complete the form: Fill Profile Details, upload your photo, signature & other relevant documents. Read the instruction and declaration carefully by clicking the ‘Declaration’ box.
• Submit the form: Preview your application form and submit. 
• Make payment of the fee: Pay the application fee through a Credit/Debit card/Net Banking. Payment confirmation message is sent to you through SMS and email. Press the 'Next' button to see the form preview.
• Download the form: After the final submission of the online application form, you may download the filled-in application form and keep a printout for your record.

After the completion of registration and document verification, candidates will be allowed to participate in the choice filling and locking process. Applicants can select their preferred colleges and courses during counselling.

Seat allotment under UPTAC 2026 will be done based on JEE Main rank, category, preferences filled by the candidate and seat availability. Candidates allotted seats will have to confirm their admission within the prescribed deadline.
