Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, will begin the UPTAC Counselling 2026 choice filling process today, July 13, from 4 PM.

Candidates who have completed the UPTAC 2026 registration and document verification process can log in to the official counselling portal at uptac.samarth.edu.in to fill in and lock their preferred college and course choices. Candidates are advised to carefully arrange their choices in order of preference, as seat allotment will be based on the candidate's merit, category, seat availability, and the choices filled during counselling. Students are recommended to fill as many possible choices as possible to improve the chances of securing a preferred seat.

The choice filling facility will remain available till the last date mentioned in the revised counselling schedule, which is July 16. Candidates should complete the process well before the deadline to avoid any last-minute technical issues.

Candidates can follow the steps below to complete the choice filling process:

• Enter the application number and password.
• Access the choice filling section.
• Select the preferred institutes and courses.

UPTAC 2026 Seat Allotment Round 1

After the completion of the choice filling process, AKTU will release the UPTAC Counselling 2026 Round 1 seat allotment result on the official website on July 18. Candidates allotted seats will have to confirm their admission by paying the seat acceptance fee and completing the online willingness process within the prescribed timeline.

Candidates who are not satisfied with their allotted seat can participate in the subsequent rounds of counselling, subject to the counselling guidelines.

To confirm the admission process, candidates have to pay the seat confirmation fee. The seat confirmation fee is as follows:

1. INR 20,000/- (General & OBC)
2. INR 12,000/- (SC & ST)
