The National Testing Agency (NTA) offers an extension in the registration process for its other exams. This leaves students wondering whether the same can be expected for the JEE Mains 2026 session 1 registration last date? NTA has issued its statement on this in a public notice announcing that the JEE Main 2026 registration for session 1 will not be extended. The last date to submit the JEE Main 2026 application form for session 1 is November 27 (9 PM), while the payment deadline is 11:50 PM on November 27.

Students must note that last year, there was no extension in the JEE Mains registration last date. It is expected that the authorities will not extend the JEE Main 2026 registration for session 1. Candidates are advised to complete their forms as soon as possible. Technical delays near the deadline hours often lead to payment failures, and NTA may not reopen the portal.

How to Apply for JEE Main 2026 Session 1?

  • Visit JEE Main 2026 website, jeemain.nta.nic.in
  • Click on the 'JEE Main 2026 Registration Link'
  • Click on the new candidate registration button
  • Complete the basic registration and create your login
  • Re-login to fill the complete form
  • Upload the documents and pay the fee
  • Submit your form and download the confirmation slip

Once the registration concludes, the authorities will open the JEE Main 2026 form correction. The JEE Main 2026 application form correction facility will be available from December 1 to 2, 2025. Candidates can use the one-time facility to make edits to their filled-out application forms.

Q:   Do I need to send the printout of JEE Main application form to NTA office?
A:

No, candidates are not required to send the prinout of JEE Main application form 2026 to the NTA office. Candidates have to fill and submit the application form online only. However, it is advised that candidates download, take a printout of their filled application form and keept it safe until the completion of admission process. JEE Main 2026 application form copy might be required at the time of counselling/admission process in the institute. 

Q:   Can I fill JEE Main application form 2026 offline?
A:

No, JEE Main application form can only be filled online. The application form of JEE Main is released only in online mode on the website jeemain.nta.ac.in. There is no option of filling the application form in offline mode. Candidates who do not have a laptop/personal computer can visit the computer centre/common service centres to fill the application form. While filling the JEE Main 2026 application form, candidates will also have to upload scanned image of their photo and signature. Candidates belonging to reserved category (Gen-EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) also need to upload the category certificate.
