DU Admissions 2021: The University of Delhi will begin the admission application process for undergraduate (UG) courses from today, i.e. August 2, 2021. Candidates interested in DU Admissions 2021 must note that the DU UG application portal will remain functional until August 31. According to information released by the university officials, the DU admission portal for undergraduate admissions is likely to go live today by 3 pm. Applicants must note that most of the courses will have merit-based admissions while there are some courses for which entrance tests will be conducted. The entrance test will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) between September 26 and October 1. Considering that more than 70,000 students scored above 95 percent in CBSE Class 12 Boards 2021, DU Cut-offs are expected to be higher than last year.
Meanwhile, the DU PG admissions 2021 registration process for MPhil and PhD courses was commenced on July 26. According to the reports, DU will open marks updation window at a later stage. While CBSE 12the results 2021 and ISC 12th Results 2021 are already out, there are several state boards that are yet to release 12th board results. In order to give all students a fair chance of admission, the varsity decided to provide the students the option of updating their marks at a later stage by opening a special window for the same.
DU officials revealed that just like last year, students will not be required to choose their course or college while filling the form. Once a student fills the DU application form, he or she will be eligible for admission to every college and course, provided they meet the eligibility criteria. Meanwhile, separate admission forms are needed to be filled by the students for colleges such as St Stephen's and Jesus and Mary, but only after filling the common form for the Delhi University.
DU Admissions past trends revealed that every year DU receives the maximum number of applications from CBSE students. Last year, over 2.85 lakh applicants were from CBSE, followed by over 12,000 applicants from the Board of School Education, Haryana (HBSE) and Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (ISC).
