Local authorities and education departments are urgently coordinating to ensure the safety of students. With CUET UG 2025 — a key undergraduate entrance exam — approaching, students and parents are grappling with growing anxiety.

As tensions between India and Pakistan intensify, several Indian cities remain on high alert, casting a shadow over critical academic events scheduled for the coming days. Major examinations like CUET UG 2025, national-level competitive entrance tests, and the announcement of Class 10 and 12 board results are set to proceed under heightened security arrangements.

Cities including Amritsar, Jammu, Pathankot, Jalandhar, Srinagar, Bikaner, and Rajouri have been placed under high alert, with additional forces deployed around examination centres and public institutions. Educational hubs like Delhi, Chandigarh, and Jaipur are also closely monitoring the situation due to the concentration of exam centres.

Local authorities and education departments are urgently coordinating to ensure the safety of students. With CUET UG 2025 — a key undergraduate entrance exam — approaching, students and parents are grappling with growing anxiety. Other major competitive exams like JEE Advanced 2025, NEET UG 2025, and CLAT 2025 are also approaching, raising further concern.

Officials from the Ministry of Education, working with the Home Ministry, have confirmed that emergency protocols are in place. Discussions are ongoing about relocating certain exam centres in high-risk areas if necessary.

"All necessary steps are being taken to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations and timely declaration of results, while prioritizing student safety," a senior education ministry official said.

Meanwhile, some schools, coaching centres, and educational institutions in sensitive regions have shifted operations online or suspended physical classes as a precaution. Student organizations have urged authorities to be ready with contingency plans, including flexible exam dates or relocation options for students from affected areas.

Further advisories regarding examination and result schedules are expected in the coming days as the situation evolves.
