PRSU to Launch 4-Year BA-BEd Integrated Course from 2026-27, Aligning with NEP 2020
Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) State University will introduce a four-year BA-BEd integrated program in 2026-27 under NCTE guidelines and NEP 2020, enabling direct eligibility for TGT posts.
Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) State University will start a new course called BA-BEd from the 2026-27 session. This course will be for 4 years. It is a big step to make teacher education better and follow national rules.
This course will follow the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) model. It is a 4-year professional course for teacher training. It is designed as per National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) guidelines. The university’s Academic Council and Executive Council have already approved this plan.
The BA-BEd course is made according to National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. In these 4 years, students will learn training that combines subject-based study with professional training, check below..
- Subject knowledge (like in BA)
- Teaching skills
- Classroom management
- Educational psychology
- Practical teaching experience
After finishing this course, students can directly apply for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) jobs. They will not need to do BA and then BEd separately. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Akhilesh Kumar Singh, said that the university is almost ready to start this course. It will begin after NCTE gives final approval.
