PUBDET Counselling Notification Released: The WBJEEB released PUBDET counselling notification on its official website: wbjeeb.nic.in/pubdet. As per the notice, WBJEEB will conduct PUBDET counselling and admission process for academic sessions 2025-26. Candidates who have achieved a rank in the PUBDET merit list must register for the e-counselling to secure admission in Presidency University, Kolkata.

PUBDET Counselling 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who fulfil the following eligibility criteria can only apply for PUBDET admission process 2025:
- The candidate must have appeared for the PUBDET 2025 exam and secured a general merit rank.
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary (Class XII) examination conducted by CBSE, West Bengal, or any equivalent board, in 2020 or later.
- All candidates must have studied at least five recognized subjects, including English.
How to Register for PUBDET Counselling?
PUBDET counselling session will be carried out in two rounds. All eligible candidates are required to register for PUBDET counselling to participate in the admission process. PUBDET counselling registration process includes:
- Candidates must register online at www.wbjeeb.nic.in or www.wbjeeb.in by paying a registration fee of Rs. 500/-.
- During registration, candidates need to provide:

- Personal, academic, bank account, and contact details.
- PUBDET 2025 application/roll number.
- Class 10: Passing status, full marks, and marks obtained in Mathematics.
- Class 12: Passing status, total marks, and marks obtained.
- If any subject is not applicable, select “NA”.
- Aggregate marks will be calculated based on best 4 recognized subjects (excluding Environmental Science).
- Candidates must note that no corrections can be made after final submission.
Rules and Guidelines for Registration
Candidates need to follow the rules below to participate in the counselling process:
- Registration must be done only once before counselling begins.
- Counselling and admission will be conducted in two rounds.
- Candidates must pay a seat acceptance fee of Rs. 1000/- online.
- Reserved category seats (SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, EWS, PwD) will not be converted to unreserved seats.
- Once allotted, candidates must report to the University for document verification and admission formalities.
Documents Required for PUBDET Admission Process
Here’s the list of documents needed:
- Downloaded a hard copy of the Allotment Letter
- Hard copy of the rank card
- Mark sheet of class-X
- Mark sheet of class-XII
- SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/ EWS /PwD/ Domicile certificate (as applicable)
- Income Certificate of Parents issued by BDO, SDO or any Group A Government officer or Income Certificate/ Payslip from the Employer or latest ITR
- Aadhar Card

PUBDET 2025 Counselling: Important Points
All candidates must remember the following points while registering for the counselling:
- Admission for the reserved category of students will be carried out following the extant rules of the Govt. of WB.
- The reservation applies to candidates who are Indian citizens and domiciled in West Bengal only.
- Candidates claiming a reservation must submit a relevant Certificate issued by the competent Authorities.
- The Presidency University will verify the documents during counselling, admission, etc
Ranks cards with scores are issued to all candidates, who will appear in PUBDET. But all may not be awarded a rank and hence may not be eligible for counseling, for which a cut off rank and/or a cut off score will be decided by the Board. Result will be published in the form of Rank Card, which contains all relevant ranks, total score, and component scores in respective papers. Candidates can view and download their rank card by logging in with their password. The Board never publishes a rank list to ensure confidentiality to each individual candidate.
