Tribhuvan Sahkari University: India’s First Cooperative University Set to Train 8 Lakh People Annually

Tribhuvan Sahkari University will offer diplomas, degrees and PhD programs, as well as short-term certificate courses for interested and eligible candidates across the country.
Tribhuvan Sahkari University will offer several degrees, diplomas and PhD programs, along with short-term certification courses for existing employees in the sector. Candidates who will get their diplomas and degrees from the university will be job-ready once the cooperative university is formulated, the official press release highlighted.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the House, emphasizing the university's potential to boost the rural economy while also encouraging innovation and research in the cooperative sector. According to the minister, the effort intends to strengthen the rural economy, enhance self-employment and small enterprise prospects, promote social inclusion, and allow for more innovation and research.
The Union Minister further notified that although several cooperative education training institute are currently active across the country, but they lacks the standardised course curriculum. Hence, keeping in mind the requirement of cooperative sector, Tribhuvan Sahkari University has been formulated.
The Tribhuvan Sahkari University bill 2025 will enhance the research and innovation for the cooperative sector and further support the rural economy. Further, with the help of the university's guidance, excellent cooperative workers in the country will be produced.
