Kerala Govt to build hi-tech labs to help students gain proficiency in English language
The programme has been unveiled by the Kerala Government as part of the larger Public Education Rejuvenation Mission, with the purpose to renovate education sector in the state.
- e-Language lab – The language laboratory will consist of the latest language software which will help to improve writing, pronunciation, grammar, listening, speaking, reading, and vocabulary
- e-Broadcast – This will consist of broadcast lessons to help learners use English in conversational and academic contexts in an interactive mode
- Samagra e-Library – By means of this digital library, international standard books in audio and video format will be made available to the school students
One lakh school teachers to be trained
As part of the project, KITE is looking to train over 1 lakh school teachers from the state during the next summer vacation to implement the requirements pertaining to the project. E3 project is likely to be executed across schools in Kerala from the next academic year. KITE also clarified that the Director of General Education will keep an eye on the implementation of the project in schools by teachers.
