All candidates who appear in the MH CET Law 2024 exam need to know about CAP Round 1, CAP Round 2, and CAP Round 3, which are stages in which the seat allotment lists are released. Check out the different stages for the MH CET Law Seat Allotment below: 

CAP Round 1

Round 1 of CAP is the stage in which colleges accepting MH CET Law offer seats to candidates after option form filling. In this stage, candidates can select the "Freeze" option on the CAP Portal to accept the seat preferred by them, and they will have to pay INR 1000 to confirm the seat. 

If a candidate does not receive his or her first preference seat, then he or she can click on the "Betterment" option and proceed with CAP Round 2. 

Note: If the seat of first preference is offered to a candidate, he or she is bound to accept it. This candidate will also not be eligible for CAP Round 2 and Round 3. If he or she does not accept the seat, it will be offered to another candidate in CAP Round 2 or Round 3. 

CAP Round 2

As mentioned above, CAP Round 2 will be a "Betterment" round. The same rules or terms as those of Round 1 will be applicable to Round 2. If a candidate wants to accept the seat offered to him or her by a college, he or she will have to choose the "Freeze" option in "Seat Acceptance Satuts" or else opt for "Betterment" and will be considered for further allocation in Round 3. 

CAP Round 3

Round 3 of CAP will be the final round of admission to 5-year and 3-year law colleges through MH CET Law 2024. In this round, the vacant seats will be filled. 

Note: If a candidate freezes a seat and does not pay the MH CET Law CAP fee of INR 1000, he or she will considered as absent for the seat allotment process.

The MH CET Law Counselling 2024 will be conducted through Centralised Admission Process (CAP). In this process, all universities accepting MH CET Law 2024 will participate to provide MH CET Law 2024 candidates with admission to 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB courses through a common counselling process.

During the counselling process, candidates before accepting their seats have the option to ‘Freeze’ or ‘Float’ their choices.

• Float option - If candidates are not satisfied with the allotted colleges, they can choose the ‘Float’ option. Candidates exercising this option are eligible for appearing in the subsequent counselling rounds. In case they are not offered seats, they can choose the previously allotted college.  
• Freeze option - Candidates can exercise ‘Freeze’ option to confirm their allotment and if they do not want to participate in the further counselling rounds. They will accept the allotted college and pay the admission fee. Such candidates will not be considered for further counselling rounds.

Admissions to the Rizvi Law College, Mumbai, will be provided on the basis of the MH CET Law 2024 score. The institute will use the MAH Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for admissions. CET Cell Maharashtra released answer key for the MH CET Law 2024 3-year LLB exam on April 3, 2024. However, the exam authority also extended the registration date for the MH CET Law 2024 5-year LLB till April 15, 2024.  The exam date for the 5-year LLB course has also been revised. The exam for the 5-year integrated LLB course will now be conducted on May 18, 2024, because of the General Elections.

The MH CET Law 2024 registration for 5-year LLB is open till April 15, 2024. To fill out the application form for the course, candidates need to visit the official website of CET Cell Maharashtra, www.cetcell.mahacet.org.

Consider the following points related to MH CET Law 2024 CAP Eligibility for a 3-year LLB programme:

• The candidate must be a graduate. 
• Candidates must have a minimum of 45% marks in their graduation exam.

The MH CET Law Centralised Admission Process (CAP) refers to the MH CET Law 2024 Counselling. It includes counselling registration by candidates, document verification, choice-locking, seat allocation, and admission confirmation by candidates. Once the CAP process is completed, the CET Cell Maharashtra releases merit lists for MH CET Law in different rounds for both 5-year LLB and 3-year LLB. 

To calculate the MH CET Law 2024 result for the 3-year LLB course, candidates can use the following steps: 

• Step 1: Find the MEAN and STANDARD DEVIATION of ALL the students considering it as one group.
• Step 2: Find the MEAN and STANDARD DEVIATION of all the sessions individually.
• Step 3: Find the STANDARD SCORE of each student with the respective MEAN and STANDARD DEVIATION of the session. 

Formula for STANDARD SCORE = (Total Marks – MEAN of the Batch) / STANDARD DEVIATION of the BATCH.

• Step 4: Find the EQUATED SCORES.

Formula for EQAUTED SCORE = (STANDARD SCORE X STANDARD DEVIATION considering all candidates as one group) + MEAN considering all candidates as one

group.

• Step 5: Once the EQUATED SCORES are calculated for all the candidates. Candidates with 0 score (raw score) should be considered with as 0 as they are not eligible for Admission Process.
• Step 6: Round off the equated score to the nearest whole number. 

In a case where candidates secure the same rank or marks, the following method of tie-breaking is applied:

• Candidates with a higher percentage of marks in Class 12 or equivalent exam are given preference in the merit list
• Candidates securing higher percentage of marks in the first language in Class 12
• Candidates with a high percentage of marks in Class 10
• A higher percentage of marks in English in Class 10 or equivalent exam

The MH CET Law merit list is a list of candidates who have been shortlisted for counseling based on their rank in the MH CET Law entrance exam. The merit list is prepared separately for MS (Maharashtra State), OMS (Other State / Outside Maharashtra State) candidates, Jammu & Kashmir Candidates and INR, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) or All India category candidature type, Foreign Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRI) / Overseas Indian Citizen (OIC) / Person of Indian Origin (PIO) candidates. Candidates cannot raise objections against the merit list.
