MH CET Law 2024 Seat Allotment

All candidates who appear in the MH CET Law 2024 exam need to know about CAP Round 1, CAP Round 2, and CAP Round 3, which are stages in which the seat allotment lists are released. Check out the different stages for the MH CET Law Seat Allotment below:

    CAP Round 1

Round 1 of CAP is the stage in which colleges accepting MH CET Law offer seats to candidates after option form filling. In this stage, candidates can select the "Freeze" option on the CAP Portal to accept the seat preferred by them, and they will have to pay INR 1000 to confirm the seat.

If a candidate does not receive his or her first preference seat, then he or she can click on the "Betterment" option and proceed with CAP Round 2.

Note: If the seat of first preference is offered to a candidate, he or she is bound to accept it. This candidate will also not be eligible for CAP Round 2 and Round 3. If he or she does not accept the seat, it will be offered to another candidate in CAP Round 2 or Round 3.

    CAP Round 2

As mentioned above, CAP Round 2 will be a "Betterment" round. The same rules or terms as those of Round 1 will be applicable to Round 2. If a candidate wants to accept the seat offered to him or her by a college, he or she will have to choose the "Freeze" option in "Seat Acceptance Satuts" or else opt for "Betterment" and will be considered for further allocation in Round 3.

    CAP Round 3

Round 3 of CAP will be the final round of admission to 5-year and 3-year law colleges through MH CET Law 2024. In this round, the vacant seats will be filled.

Note: If a candidate freezes a seat and does not pay the MH CET Law CAP fee of INR 1000, he or she will considered as absent for the seat allotment process.

MH CET Law 2024 Result (3-Year LLB) Live: Factors Affecting the MH CET Law Result

The following factors will affect the MH CET Law result 2024 for the 3-year LLB course:

    • Number of Test Takers: The total number of candidates who appear for the MH CET Law exam has a direct impact on the cut-offs. Higher competition due to a larger applicant pool can lead to a rise in cut-off marks.
    • Difficulty Level of the Exam: The overall difficulty of the MH CET Law exam can also influence the cut-offs. If the exam is generally considered tough, the cut-offs may be lower as fewer candidates score exceptionally high marks.
    • Total Available Seats: The number of seats available for various law colleges participating in MH CET Law admissions plays a crucial role. Colleges with fewer seats tend to have higher cut-offs compared to those with more seats.
    • Merit Ranks of Applicants: The merit rank secured by a candidate in the MH CET Law entrance exam determines their position relative to other test-takers. A higher rank signifies a better performance and increases the chances of admission into a preferred college.
    • College and Course Preferences: The choices filled by candidates during the counselling process regarding colleges and preferred course (3-year LLB or 5-year LLB) can affect the cut-offs for specific colleges. If a large number of candidates opt for a particular college, the cut-off for that college can rise.
    • Reservation Policy:  Reservation policies for various categories (SC, ST, OBC, etc.)  also play a part as seats are reserved based on these categories. The cut-offs for reserved category candidates may be lower than the general category cut-off.
