Students with prior work experience, who previously earned an average salary of INR 6.81 lakh, have seen a significant increase to an average post-MBA CTC of INR 24.14 lakh, representing a 254% rise. Notably, 77% of the placed students secured a CTC of INR 20 lakh or more.

BITSoM MBA Placements 2024

BITSoM Placements 2024: BITS School of Management, Mumbai (BITSoM), has released the placement results for its second MBA cohort (2022-24), showcasing robust outcomes. The average CTC for placed students is INR 23.41 lakh per annum, closely aligning with last year’s average of INR 23.50 lakh. The top CTC stands at INR 50 lakh, while the median CTC is INR 24 lakh. Students with prior work experience, who previously earned an average salary of INR 6.81 lakh, have seen a significant increase to an average post-MBA CTC of INR 24.14 lakh, representing a 254% rise. Notably, 77% of the placed students secured a CTC of INR 20 lakh or more.

Placement Statistics and Top Earnings

The top 10% of placed students achieved an average CTC of INR 31.88 lakh per annum. The average CTC for the top 30% is INR 28.86 lakh, INR 27.64 lakh for the top half, and INR 25.38 lakh for the top 75% of students. Among the class of 131, 41 students accepted pre-placement offers, while three opted out of the placement process. Although the structured placement process has ended, BITSoM continues to seek opportunities for the nine students who have yet to secure positions.

Diverse Range of Employers and Roles

This year’s placements attracted top-tier firms across various sectors including Consulting, Finance, General Management, Sales & Marketing, and Product Management & Technology. Leading consulting firms such as McKinsey & Co, The Boston Consulting Group, Arthur D Little, and others participated in the process, offering roles in management consulting, tech consulting, and M&A. Prominent BFSI sector employers included JP Morgan India, ICICI Bank, and Aditya Birla Capital.

Management trainee programs were offered by companies like Hindustan Unilever and Vodafone Idea. Other notable employers include Signify Innovations India, Jubilant Foodworks, and Siemens Healthineers India. New-age tech companies such as Flipkart and Avalon Technologies also hired for roles in Product Management and Technology.
