IGNOU MBA programme comes with Exit option after PG Diploma

In order to take admission in the MBA course at IGNOU, the candidate has to first appear for the OPENMAT entrance exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the OPENMAT entrance exam starting this year.

Masters in Business Administration (MBA) programme at the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is available with exit options after PG Diploma. This modular system enables students enrolled in MBA programmes at IGNOU to choose 'exit options' for the course after completing 6 courses in a particular specialization along with the compulsory basic course. In case the student chooses the exit option, S/he will be awarded a postgraduate diploma or PG Diploma in the specialization by the Open University.

The minimum duration of completing a 21 course MBA course is 2 years, and the maximum duration that a student can take to complete the MBA programme is 5 years. In order to take admission in the MBA course at IGNOU, the candidate has to first appear for the OPENMAT entrance exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the IGNOU OPENMAT entrance exam starting this year.

At IGNOU, the Exit options are available after PG Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM), PG Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDMM), PG Diploma in Human Resources Management (PGDHRM), PG Diploma in Operations Management (PGDOM), and PG Diploma in Financial Markets Practice (PGDFMP).

The application process to register for IGNOU's MBA entrance test or the OPENMAT is currently ongoing. Interested and eligible candidates, who wants to take admission in MBA at IGNOU can apply at the official NTA portal on or before March 23, 2020. The NTA will conduct the entrance examination on April 29.
