Resignations of members have come at an important time as institute is entering into phase of pre-placement, followed by final placements in early February.
Ahead of placement season all 20 student members of IIM Bangalore Placement Committee have resigned. These members have resigned after institute withdrew a policy that earlier allowed senior placement representatives certain additional application privileges.
Policy Withdrawal Sparks Resignations
This committee stepped down after IIM Bangalore revoked a rule that previously let student placement representatives submit more job applications than rest of cohort. The said clause had drawn criticism from students, who viewed it as an unequal advantage. Its rollback prompted committee members to resign, reported ToI.
IIM-B Placement Activities May Be Affected

A replacement committee has not yet been announced, internal discussions are underway to ensure that placement timeline is not disrupted.
