PM Modi Announces IIM Bangalore's First International Campus in Indonesia
Prime Minister Modi, during the bilateral meeting and joint press conference with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, announced new campus for IIM Bengaluru in Indonesia's Singhasari SEZ.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore will open its first international campus in Indonesia. He shared this news during his official visit to Jakarta after talks with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. IIM Bangalore will be the second IIM to expand its campus outside India. IIM Ahmedabad has an international campus in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Both India and Indonesia signed nearly dozen agreements, one of which included the IIM Bangalore Indonesia campus. The primary range of collaboration include areas like technology, food security, medicines and maritime security.

IIM Bangalore in Indonesia: Details of the New Campus
As per the sources, the new campus will be located in the Singhasari Special Economic Zone in Malang, which is in the East Java province. PM Modi stated that this new school will greatly benefit students and young people across the entire ASEAN region by providing them with quality management education.
At first, the campus will offer short courses and training for senior professionals, business leaders, and government officials. After the first two years, the school plans to start offering full degree programs. Students at the campus will study modern subjects such as artificial intelligence, healthcare management, digital changes, climate and sustainability, and global supply chains.ย
This new campus is part of a growing friendship between the two countries. During the visit, India and Indonesia also signed several other agreements to work together in areas like health, space research, defense, and technology.
