This year, a total of 595 students graduated at XLRI across various disciplines, reflecting the institution's unwavering commitment to academic excellence, leadership development, and societal contributions.

XLRI 69th Convocation 2025: The Xavier School of Management (XLRI) Jamshedpur marked a significant milestone with its 69th Annual Convocation, held at the Tata Auditorium. This year, a total of 595 students graduated across various disciplines, reflecting the institution's unwavering commitment to academic excellence, leadership development, and societal contributions. The ceremony was a culmination of years of hard work and dedication, and it served as a platform to honor not only the students but also the faculty and staff who have contributed significantly to the institution's success.

Graduating Cohort: A Diverse and Accomplished Class

The graduating cohort of XLRI's 69th convocation was a diverse group, representing a variety of programs that are central to XLRI's legacy of academic excellence. Below are the details of the graduating students:

  • Human Resource Management (HRM): 184 graduates
  • Business Management (BM): 226 graduates
  • Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM): 15 graduates
  • General Management Programme (GMP): 115 graduates
  • Post Graduate Programme in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Venture Creation (PGP-IEV): 43 graduates
  • Fellow Programme in Management: 12 graduates

Additionally, the convocation ceremony saw the awarding of Long Service Medals to three faculty members and 14 administrative staff members for their remarkable 15 years of dedicated service to XLRI.

Keynote Address by Sanjiv Puri: A Vision for Industry and Society

The highlight of the event was the address delivered by Sanjiv Puri, Chairman and Managing Director of ITC Ltd., who served as the Chief Guest and convocation speaker. Puri was also conferred the prestigious Sir Jehangir Ghandy Medal for Industrial and Social Peace for his significant contributions to both industry and society. In his address, Puri emphasized the need for ethical leadership, responsible innovation, and sustainable progress. He urged the graduates to focus on creating long-term impact through their work, aligning personal and professional success with the broader goals of societal well-being.

TV Narendran, Chairman of the Board of Governors at XLRI and CEO & MD of Tata Steel Ltd., also addressed the graduating class. In his speech, Narendran encouraged the graduates to take leadership in shaping industries and communities with a focus on integrity and innovation.
