Max Healthcare Foundation Launches 3rd Edition of Medical Scholarship for Economically Weaker Students. Apply by Sept 20.

Max Healthcare Foundation has announced the third edition o Max Medical Scholarship Programme, which will fully fund the education of 100 meritorious MBBS students from economically weaker sections for the academic year 2025–26.

The scholarship is open to students who have cleared NEET UG 2025 and secured admission to government medical colleges in Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Nagpur, Dehradun, and Bathinda. Applications will remain open until September 20, 2025, through www.maxhealthcarefoundation.org.

Selected students will receive comprehensive support for their 5-year MBBS course, including tuition fees, a laptop, textbooks, essential medical tools such as a stethoscope and dissection kit, a monthly allowance, and mentorship opportunities.

The programme will also continue supporting students selected in the first and second editions, ensuring they receive funding throughout their medical education. Taruna Soi, Chairperson, Max Healthcare Foundation, said: “Financial constraints often force bright students to abandon their dream of becoming doctors. This initiative will not only empower 100 more students this year but also nurture talent, break systemic barriers, and build a more inclusive healthcare ecosystem.”

Applications will undergo a multi-stage evaluation including document verification, socio-economic assessment, and interviews before the final selection of 100 scholars.

This initiative is part of Max Healthcare Foundation’s broader CSR efforts in education, skills training, and water sustainability. The organisation says the scholarship marks one of the largest annual grants for medical education in India.
