NTA has announced the date for NEET 2021 exam. As per the notification released on the official website of NTA, NEET 2021 exam will be held on August 1. Check more details.

The National Testing Agency will be conducting NEET 2021 exam on August 1, 2021. As per the official notification released on March 12, 2021, the NEET 2021 will be held in pen and paper mode in 11 languages on the said date. NEET 2021 application process will begin shortly on the official website of NTA.

NTA will soon release an information brochure comprising important dates for key events, like syllabus, eligibility criteria for age, reservation, categorisation of seats, examination fee, and cities of examination. Candidates will have to register first on the official website of NTA to fill the NEET 2021 application form. For registration, candidates will require a valid Email ID and contact detail. 

Candidates must check eligibility criteria before making NEET 2021 application online. To appear for NEET 2021 exam, candidates must have qualified Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English as core subjects from a recognised board and they must be between 17 and 25 years old. Those who will be appearing for Class 12 board exams this year will also be eligible for the NEET 2021 entrance test.

A few days ago Director-General of the National Testing Agency (NTA) Vineet Joshi had confirmed that NEET 2021 exam will be conducted only once a year. Earlier, the Union Ministry of Health had given nod to conduct the entrance exam twice a year but no further official announcements were made by the authorities and stakeholders.

Conducted by NTA, NEET 2021 exam is the only national level entrance exam in India which facilitates admission to MBBS, BDS and AYUSH courses at UG level in the country.

Earlier, NTA Director General, Vineet Joshi provided clarity on why there was a delay in the announcement of NEET 2021 Dates. said that “there are a total of 28 boards, two ministries, and NTA involved in the brainstorming process, so the process is taking time”.

NEET aspirants were also seeking clarity in terms of NEET 2021 syllabus and the NTA and constitute bodies have provided the clarity and had said that the medical entrance test will be held as per the syllabus structured by the NTA irrespective of the reduction in the board exam syllabus.
