On the sidelines of Indo-Russian Education Summit 2024 in New Delhi, Ambassador Alipov elaborated on Russia's commitment to providing 500 scholarships across a diverse array of fields, including medical sciences, engineering, nuclear science, aviation, management, aerospace, and more. This initiative stands as a beacon of educational empowerment, offering Indian students unparalleled opportunities for academic growth and development.
In a significant move, the Russian Federation has unveiled plans to offer 500 free scholarship seats across a multitude of academic disciplines, ranging from medical sciences to engineering, nuclear science, aviation, management, aerospace, and more. Additionally, Rus Education has pledged scholarships worth INR 40 lakhs, further democratizing access to quality education for deserving candidates. Looking towards the future, Ambassador Alipov highlighted the scope for expansion and diversification of scholarly exchanges and joint research endeavors between Russia and Indian universities. He cited several initiatives, including the establishment of direct contracts and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between prominent academic institutions. One notable example is the MoU between a Russian university and Cochin University of Science and Technology to launch a joint master's program, allowing students to receive double diplomas.
