JPSC Civil Services 2021 prelims exam postponed amid rising COVID-19 cases
JPSC Civil Services 2021 prelims exam has been postponed due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases. The new exam dates will be announced soon.
According to media reports, a total of 5.5 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the prelims exam. A total of 252 vacancies were announced for JPSC Civil Services. The vacancies are announced for the posts of Deputy Collector, Assistant Municipal Commissioner, District Coordinator, Jail Superintendent, and others.

The prelims exam of JPSC comprises objective-type questions. The prelims exam will be conducted for two hours and comprises 100 questions in each paper. Each question carries two marks and there is no negative marking in the prelims exam. The prelims exam is only a screening test. There are two papers in JPSC Civil Services prelims exam.
Paper-I carries topics from the history and geography of India, Indian polity and governance, economic and sustainable development, science and technology, national and international current events, etc. Questions are also asked from history, society, culture, and society of Jharkhand, human rights, environmental protection, climate change, poverty, unemployment, etc.
Paper-II comprises topics from the history of Jharkhand, Jharkhand Andolan, literature, culture, dance, music of the state, sports, and other related topics of the state.
