KARTET 2025 is scheduled for December 7, 2025, and will be held offline in two sessions — Paper I (9:30 AM–12:00 PM) and Paper II (2:00 PM–4:30 PM).

The Department of School Education, Government of Karnataka, has started online applications for Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) 2025. The exam serves as a qualifying test for candidates looking for teaching posts in primary (Classes 1–5) and upper primary (Classes 6–8) schools across Karnataka.

KARTET application begins today, on October 23 and will continue till November 9, 2025. The exam is scheduled for December 7, 2025, and will be held offline in two sessions — Paper I (9:30 AM–12:00 PM) and Paper II (2:00 PM–4:30 PM).

KARTET certificate is issued by Karnataka School Education Department, is now valid for lifetime, in line with National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) guidelines. This means candidates who qualify once can use this certificate throughout their teaching careers.

KARTET 2025 Exam Details

Mode: Offline (pen and paper)

Total Marks: 150 per paper (no negative marking)

Fee: ₹500 for one paper, ₹800 for both (fee relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates)

Syllabus: Based on NCERT up to Class 8, covering Child Development & Pedagogy, Languages, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, and Social Studies.

KARTET Eligibility Criteria

Paper I: Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 2-year D.El.Ed (or equivalent).

Paper II: Graduation with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed/D.El.Ed (or equivalent).

A 5% relaxation in minimum marks is allowed for reserved categories. There is no upper age limit for applicants.

How to Apply

  1. Visit schooleducation.karnataka.gov.in or sts.karnataka.gov.in/TET.
  2. Click on the KARTET 2025 Apply Online link.
  3. Register using your email ID and mobile number.
  4. Fill in personal and educational details, upload scanned documents, and pay the fee online.
  5. Submit the form and download the confirmation page.

Admit cards will be released around 10 days before the exam.
