UGC has launched an academic job portal for NET, SET and PhD qualified candidates. Read below to know the details of the portal.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has launched its own academic job portal for candidates who have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET), State Eligibility Test (SET) and PhD. Eligible candidates will be required to create their academic profiles on the job portal to fetch teaching jobs available in the universities and colleges.

Candidates who have qualified the UGC NET, CSIR NET, ASRB ICAR NET, MH SET, Kerala SET, KSET, APSET and other SET exams can now visit the portal and register on the same to seek the attention of the employers for a suitable job.

Key features of UGC academic job portal

  • Eligible candidates need to register on the portal and create their academic profile online.
  • The portal facilitates employers, universities and colleges to browse the academic profile of candidates available on it.
  • Employers can also register on this portal and post the job vacancies so that candidates can apply against the vacancies.

Teaching & Non-Teaching jobs on UGC academic job portal

As of now the academic job portal only shows the teaching vacancies in the universities and colleges. The UGC is in the process of upgrading the portal to include non-teaching jobs along with other features. The upgraded version of the portal will become functional soon.

How to register on the UGC job portal?

Follow the given steps to register on the job portal of the UGC:

Step 1: Visit the portal @ugc.ac.in/jobportal

Step 2: Click on the 'Register' link under ‘For Candidate’section

Step 3: Register by entering the required details

Step 4: Create your academic profile

After registering and creating the profile, candidates can search for the jobs by clicking on the ‘Search Jobs’ tab.
