UPSC IAS Prelims Exam 2025 Application Deadline Extended

UPSC IAS Application Date 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has further extended the last date to fill out the civil services prelims exam form 2025. As per the extended date, now, candidates can fill out the UPSC IAS 2025 prelims application form till February 21. Earlier, the Commission had extended the UPSC IAS prelims application date to February 18.

The official website states, "Last date to apply for CS(P)-2025 & IFoS(P)-2025 has been further extended till 21.02.2025 (06:00 PM)." Also, a UPSC IAS prelims correction window will be activated for applicants β€œtill expiry of seven days from the next day after the closure of application window i.e. from 22.02.2025 to 28.02.2025”, it said.

How to fill UPSC IAS Prelims Exam 2025 Application?

Graduates aged between 21 and 32 years can apply for the UPSC IAS 2025 exam online. They can follow the steps below to complete the UPSC CSE application process:

  • Visit the official website: upsconline.nic.in or upsc.gov.in.
  • Click on the OTR (One-Time Registration (OTR) link on the homepage
  • Enter basic details: name, date of birth, and contact information
  • Verify UPSC CSE registration, submit the form; an OTP will be sent to the registered email or phone for verification
  • Login by using the generated credentials
  • Complete the UPSC IAS prelims application form by entering personal details, educational qualifications, and preferred exam centres
  • Upload scanned images as required and pay the application fee.
  • Submit the form and download a copy for future reference.

How to Pay the UPSC IAS Prelims 2025 Application Fee?

Candidates can pay the IAS exam application fee through online or offline modes.

  • Online Payment: Use Visa, MasterCard, or RuPay credit/debit cards or pay via SBI internet banking.
  • Offline Payment: Deposit cash at any SBI branch. Also, print the system-generated pay-in-slip during Part II registration. Submit the fee at the SBI counter on the next working day.

The β€˜Pay by Cash’ option will be deactivated one day before the application deadline. However, candidates who generate the pay-in slip before deactivation can complete the payment at an SBI branch during banking hours on the closing date.
